Oh how I love the party goodies by Hank and Hunt. Lu-urve doesn’t even communicate it strongly enough. Jenny’s pretty garlands and cupcake toppers wow me every time. Also, I want to move to Seattle just so I can hang out with her and go to one of her fabulous Meet and Greet Fetes (you know, if she throws another one). Ooooh, and she also has all sorts of free party printables and loveliness in her shop. Gorgeous ones! Goodness all around at Hank and Hunt, sheer party goodness.

A sampling of Jenny’s genius-

And, of course, the best part of this whole post is the fact that she’s here as a guest today.

Hello! Hi, my name is Jenny and I write a little blog called Hank + Hunt, where I like to share fun little party crafts. I was super excited when Kirstin asked me to contribute a little DIY for this happy little party! I love course said yes, and thought I’d whip up a super easy topper tutorial.  So, here we go my lovelies…

DIY Crepe Paper Pom Flowers

Yep, that is a really long name, but I don’t know what to call them. Whatever they are called, they turn out pretty cute. Truly, the pictures don’t do them justice. I just bought some black crepe paper yesterday to make some for the upcoming halloween season.

You will need:
Cardstock (for template)
Crepe Paper Sheets
Lollipop Sticks
Cardstock or Circle Printable (for flower center)

Cut out a circle template out of cardstock, I used my 2 3/4 circle punch to do this for me.  Cut out squares of crepe paper about 3 inches square.  Layer a few at a time to make this go fast. Place template on a stack of squares and cut out circles.

Take 8 circles.  Use one circle and place a Pop up Glue Dot in the center, top with a new circle. Top with another dot, then layer, until you have four layers.  Repeat with a separate stack for the second four circles.

Top one stack with another Glue Dot and press in a lollipop stick. Top with second stack of circles. Press gently but firmly together.

Cut all layers, all the way around, using straight cuts (like petals.) Top each center with a circle of contrasting cardstock or a circle printable matching your party theme.

Fluff and scrunch the fringe. Stick in a cupcake and have one heck of a good time (required.)

Thanks Kirstin for having me! This was fun!

ps- I had a terrible time narrowing to a few favorite Hank and Hunt projects. I guess that means you’ll have to go browse through her archives and see all the goodness you’re missing… 😉 And while you’re surfing around, go stop by C.R.A.F.T. and see what the Pretty Parties gloriousness is going on over there today.
