We adore Miss Joanna and her sweet blog, A Pretty Life in the Suburbs. And we’re so thrilled that she’s here sharing a pink project for Color Your Summer today!
Happy summer day to you! I am Jo-Anna from the blog A Pretty Life in the Suburbs! And I’m SO happy to be here today! I’ve always loved the Color Your Summer Series here with Delia & Kojo, but this year I get to be a part of it, which is SO exciting!
My color for this series is the fabulous PINK, which also happens to be my favorite color in the world! When I chose my summer project I immediately thought of popsicles! Pretty pastel pink popsicles. And I knew just the recipe to start with: my Fresh {Real} Lemonade recipe! They taste like lemonade with a hint of cherry from the Grenadine…SO sweet & refreshing!
- 3 lemons, juiced
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup sugar (depending on how sweet or tart you want it)
- 1 – 2 tsp Grenadine (depending on how pink you want them to be)
- Juice your lemons. (I just use a hand juicer.)
- Add the sugar to the lemon juice and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Once the sugar is dissolved, add the water and stir.
- Stir in the Grenadine.
- Pour into popsicle molds and freeze.
I hope you enjoy these delicious summer treats!
