DIY pom pom ornaments (anthropologie inspired)

Even though there isn’t an Anthropologie here in New Zealand, I still LOVE perusing their Christmas goodies online (so much gorgeousness). And they have the best pom pom Christmas ornaments every year!
So of course, we DIYed a whole pile of pom pom ornaments for our Christmas tree.
It seems sort of silly to put a pom pom Christmas ornament tutorial together (just grab a pom pom maker and make a pile of pom poms to tie on the tree).
I do have a bunch of tips for y’all, though, to make these full, fluffy, gorgeous anthro-esque pom pom ornaments-
-use as much yarn as you can fit on the pom pom maker (wrap and wrap and wrap some more)
-add different colors of yarn, being cogniscent of color placement (an extra dose of the more neutral colors goes a long way here)
-trim, trim, trim, trim and then trim some more! I think this is where to magic happens. Little teeny scissors are your best friend here. When you’ve overloaded the pom pom maker (which, as noted, do!), your initial pom pom is a shaggy mess. Once you trim and trim and trim, the pom pom ornament is perfection!
Doesn’t it make you want to get out a pom pom maker and make a whole pile of anthro-y ornaments?
