(Every year, we love checking out the Harry Potter Series hosted by Raegun Ramblings! And this year, we are thrilled to add an easy butterbeer recipe to the mix! )
For Harry Potter’s birthday this year, my sister and nieces were staying with us. Which means we were basically hosting a Harry Potter fanclub at my house- filled with Potter trivia, SO many Harry Potter internet quizzes (which house are you? What is your patronus? What would your job be in the wizarding world? Who would be your BFF at Hogwarts? We took them all!), and frozen butterbeer!
But not just any butterbeer- the easiest frozen butterbeer ever!
(Also- my nieces went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London the week after we made this and had *real* frozen butterbeer and still declared ours better!)
This quintessential HP treat is pretty much perfect for all occasions, especially if you live in a place like southern Texas where fall is still a ways off. 😉
*makes 4 frosty mason jars of deliciousness
2 cups ice
1 cup ice cream
1/2 cup butterscotch sauce
2 cans cream soda
In a blender, mix together the ice cream, butterscotch sauce, ice, and half a can of cream soda. Divide mixture between four glasses, top with remaining can and a half of cream soda, drizzle with more butterscotch, and enjoy.
HARRY POTTER BUTTERBEER PERFECTION!
