some good news and some bad news

So, having Jord stateside for the last couple weeks was so. much. fun. Seriously, a few (unwise) people may fight me on this, but I have the best siblings in the whole world. The very best.
Which brings us to the good news- even though the blog has been a little quiet, Jord and I spent these last two weeks creating and baking and sewing and cooking and eating and celebrating. I cannot wait to share what we were up to (I shared a few hints above- fun right?).
Jord also took approximately one thousand pictures while she was here… I love that part of having her around. Adam even got a new Facebook profile picture (I think his last one was from 2010).
Unfortunately, this brings us to the bad news. Yep, you guessed it, that girl is currently on an airplane heading across the ocean (or maybe across Africa by now). I keep thinking that my heart is going to toughen up about saying good-bye to her, but it hasn’t happened for me yet. The silver lining here is that she missed her girls and Drew something fierce- I would love to be a fly on the wall in the airport in Dubai later today to see that happy reunion.
On that note, Happy Monday friends. I hope yours is a little less weepy than mine (if not, drop me a line and we can be weepy together!).
My sister just left town last night…always a sad day
Glad to hear we aren’t the only ones who get a little weepy ๐
Meg, you guys too? UGH. It’s the worst right? I keep telling myself that I should be better at this by now. ๐
I hate that for you. Hope you’re having a good day…as good as can be expected ๐ xo
Thanks friend. I know you know that sad-saying-good-bye process well. ๐
Awe, I’m glad you got a lot of good time in with your sister though! Can’t wait to see what you guys did together ๐
Cherish those moments with your sister-mine passed away just after she turned 49 and I haven’t let a day go by without tears for the relationship we will never ever get to have. I miss her fiercely every single day.
Oh Lynda, I am so sorry! I bet you absolutely do miss her every single day. Hugs, friend.
